Nice view on Chatel-Guyon
Hard mattress Shower with no support for the shower head Cramped space around the bed = Room with basic comfort (We chose "chambre comfort" with the hope to get a little something, but everything was very minimal).

Excellent welcome by Monsieur Billet. Lovely well appointed and spacious room, with exceptional bathroom. Lots of information given by owner during braekfast who was always available to help. Well situated for town centre, 5mns on foot. Nice quiet garden with use of small pool. Quiet residential location. Free public parking outside. Monsiur Billet contributed, very much, to our very enjoyable visit to Albi. We hope to be able to return if ever in Albi.

Very friendly welcome from proprietors. Nice tv lounge and very smart dining room.
Bedroom small, no air conditioning. Bathroom really small with bath but no shower which was disappointing for price we paid. Standard of food in dining room was only Just Ok in view of 28 euros cost (without drinks) Proprietor waited at table and we felt she was not dressed appropriately {trousers and t shirt). The chef was very scruffy, he was also joint proprietor and spent most of his time in tv lounge. Standard had deteriorated since our last visit 3/4 years ago when hotel was under different ownership. They need to be a little more professional and smarten up their appearance. Not good for chef to wear dirty stained clothes.

Price
Not good for people with mobility problems, 27 stairs to get to reception. Wifi only in lounge , not rooms as advertised.Felt woman at reception was extremely rude. When we checked in she was more concerned with a show on tv than us.Just told us room number gave us key and walked of.When we checked out I paid cash and she was about to get me change when a frenchman came to reception and she then ignored me and checked him out. Then she got me my change and that was tha.Would certainly not go there again or recommend it.

This is a charming hotel with a great view of the city, a friendly staff, and an excellent restaurant. The rooms are basic and small, but nice and comfortable. It is a good value.
